Can anyone on here tell me how to remove my backseats out of my 98 4.6 GT? I am getting them reupholstered and was just wondering how hard this is going to be. Thanks

Default RE: remove back seats

all you need is your finger (or a flathead screw driver) an 8mm and 10mm sockets. drop the rear seats down and remove the head rest using the 8mm (i think its an 8mm), three bolts and it pops right off. Next go to the front of the bench (the butt cushion) and between the carpet and seat in the middle of each seat is two push buttons (just run your hand or a screwdriver between the slit til it stops; push both of those in and the bottom bench pops out. Now all you have is the back rest, which consist of a 10mm bolt in each corner and that pops out, be careful because the metal creates nasty scratches when removing it.
