A problem with warped rotors is quite noticable under moderately hard braking--however they could be out of balance if they are old or some el-cheapo brand. I took a pair of inexpensive front rotors off a friend's ;02 GT and we found one weighed almost 3 pounds more then the other.I had a pronounced vibration on my '03 GT at 45-50 that was absolutely tire balance related, even after having the balancing done 3 times. I identified the offending wheel (left front) and had the tire dismounted. We then spun up the wheel to make it wasn't bad, thenremounted the tire rotated 90° from the original position and rebalanced--problem gone...
determined huh.....

atleast you found the problem.

thanks for the input. i guess i'll start looking for some nice new rotors. i'll take it back to the dealer on monday and have them check it out. i haven't had problems braking, but it sounds logical to me, especially if one weighs significantly more than the other. i was worried that the drive shaft needed to be balanced or replaced.

i wouldnt say rotors unless it is vibrating when your braking... other then that NOT your rotors!... wheel alignment, driveshaft out of balance. i had a vibration got my tires re balanced and it was fine and now i have a vibration in the rear end at 80mph. cant figure this one out

I have a vibration at about 90mph +. I didn't notice it until I had 4.10s installed, maybe its the increased driveshaft rotations at that speed.. who knows..

Can anyone help me out and let me know why my car rattles your teeth at speeds oover 60mph? I've already done the obvious and had the tires balanced. This is a constant problem, doesn't matter what the weather is, etc. I have a 5 spd '04 GT.
Check your u-joints.
Yeah,

my u-joint was shot and it vibrated like mad when you let off the gas at high speeds.

i ended up getting an aluminum drive shaft and my car has never ridden smoother.

I read a few posts about people putting in gears and needing to get the drive shaft balanced to eliminate that vibration.

U-joints. Jack the car up and check it out. Pull on your driveshaft. It should be in there tight. If there is some play, you'll probably need u-joints. If one is bad, do both.
