But we look better
Depending on what you do and how good a tune you get, close. If you get stock PI parts then no, you'll basically get what New Edges get, but if you get maybe one of these new intakes that are starting to come out, P&P some PI heads, and get at least a set of Stage 1 cams, you'll be close.
What do you guys do for tuning also ? With my integra I had to do a conversion harness from OBD2A to OBD1 and have an ecu socketed with a crome tuning program basemap . Is it more involved or easier than that with mustangs ?

the 96-98 mustang gt's are dogs... they're the red headed step child of the mustang family.
Can you say Mustang II!

As long as you understand they are not so hot in stock trim and can do the work yourself then its a nice car to pick up. Throw in some aftermarket cams with your headswap and you will get up your friends 275rwhp...also 4.10's are a must to get these heavy no low rpm tq cars going.

most people get either a Diablo Sporttuner or a SCT Xcal2 - they're handheld tuners... either one is a good tuner.. the sct has more options from what I know.. Check your local mustang tuner and see what his shop uses... that'd be the best thing.

you have to drop it for sure, stock mustangs have a real ugly 4x4 stance.I went with the h&r sports 1.5" drop and it's great!!
