does lowering the car have anything to do with performance or it just looks good? one kid told me that his cobras exhaust goes under the axel. that sucks, cause he cant even drop it.

Thats true. The '03/'04 Cobra exuaust does cross under the rear axel but that wont keep him from lowering it a little. I personally wouldnt lower the cobra because you need the springs for all the power you're putting down.

The lowering springs arent for performance at all. In fact putting lowering springs on your ride will actually take away from traction because you dont have the weight transfer that stock springs have. You will have a lot better handling though. On my stock springs there is a certain 90* curve on post that I couldnt take above 35 mph because my rear end wanted to slide around. Now that its lowered I can take it at 60 without sliding... probably a little faster but dont wanna push it to far.

hmmm guess i need to check to see if the guy lowered it or not. the aftermarket springs would tend to be a different color right?

Either drag springs... which will only give you 1/2 to 3/4" of drop but will let the rear squat like a 80 year old Korean or cut the stock springs to the ride height of your choice and put 4cyl fox springs in the front. Thats what MD has and he gets good traction.

Not always. You can get them in black or any other color.

You have to ask MD how many coils he cut off of his. I havent done it yet. I need to but im gonna wait till I see how the new tires and upper and lower control arms grab with 4.10's on Tuesday. If the rear still needs to squat then Im gonna cut my stock ones and throw them back in.
