Default The beast is here, here in York UPDATE

Well, I am EXTREMELY happy to say that there is a 04 Cobra shortblock sitting on an engine stand, waiting to go into my baby. On Sat. I rented a pickup from Enterprise and drove to NJ and picked it up. 47k on the block and it needs cleaned out but it seems to be in fine shape. I was jittery all week for Sat. Now, I have to take my tranny out to be done and start the swap. Wish me luck.....!!!

BTW, there are little fuzzies on the engine, what kind of rag or nonstatic cloth should I use to get them off? Like I said, it needs a good scrubbing but, then should be ready. Thanks for any help!!!

Can you say 100<150 shot???? hahahaha

You can use scotch bright to scrub it down. I would definately do all the mating surfaces too.

Congrats ya lucky bastard . I'd love to see/hear how the progress is coming. I thought of doing that swap myself. I found a wrecked '03 Cobra at a salvage yard, the guy said give him $1500 and I can pull the engine, ECC, and harness. I almost wet myself, but when I went to get the engine, the guy sold it [:@]. Oh well there'll be more...I hope. Anyway, got side tracked, congrats again!
