You guys need to learn to listen to the guys that know what they are talking about. That screen evens out the flow of the air. If you have a fenderwell intake you really need it because those things are bad on the airflow (except JLT). If you have a staight shot then you could live without it but I would leave it in. It is there for a reason and not to stop stuff that gets past the filter, thats the dumbest **** I ever heard. If your car seems to run fine without it I'm glad for you but I doubt you hooked up a wideband to see what it is doing tou your A/F ratio. Stop giving out bad info you know nothing about. If the shoe fits wear it.
Hes right. There were plenty of posts about this about a year or two ago. The screen does make a difference. Like I stated before, mine ran bad without it and great with it.

Atleast someone said it...if you dont know what your talking about your just making yourself look stupid. If you wanna take it off take it off but why bother, do you really want that 1/4 hp increase that bad?

well its a straight shot so the air flow isnt disturbed. I have my intake the same as a JLT RAI that I built ( for $20) but I did reuse the screen.

My buddy whop graduated UTI specialized ford. He said to leave it in that it can f*ck with your timeing...just a little somehting to pass along. because i was thinking about doing it and now decided not to
LOL I call bs.This screen is basically just a 2nd filter. More restriction. Its their to work with your stock intake for a reason.. Crappy filter? Installing a Cold air intake with a good filter eliminates the need for it.. If your getting rough idle this would be the last thing I blammed it on, If its rough idle Its probably due to improper installation, most likely the line connected to your IAC. Also The simpliest things can be over looked. U most likely unplugged your MAF sensor during the Cold air intake Install... or screen removal. Make sure u check before you blame a little peice of metal that *restricts* airflow.
