X vs. H
Ok guys I'm new so bare with me. I'm looking at mid pipes. There's X pipes, H pipes, Catted, Not Catted, and prices from $159 to $550.
Help me out. Exactly what do they do, and what's a good choice to go with.

RE: X vs. H
if you have an uncatted one, you most likely wont pass emmisions if you have them.
you can get a catted one, but those are like $200 more than an uncatted. (About 350)
do a search. theres been too many posts about this and its getting annoying.

Here is how its been said for a long time:
X = deep and LOUD
H = DEEP and loud
Offroad versions are going to be significantly louder than the catted versions. You won't pass emissions without cats, however, there are private inspections and whatnot to get around it. All depends on the sound you want / like.

i personally like the raspyness of the no-catted X. But like you said, its all in the taste.
Go to youtube or streetfire and just search for mustang exhaust notes or something. There are a ton of videos that will give you an idea of what each sounds like
