i got a 99 and its got a W stamped in the valley. I think in 01 they switched back to Romeo

I think the romeo engines are supposed to be better. I'm pretty sure that only the blocks were made in windsor. The heads were still made in romeo.

99-00 mustang 2v are windsor, production got shifted to the truck plant shorly, anything after production got shifted back to romeo, i went round and round with ford over this for quite sometime

ive heard that windsor is a little better actually cause it has an 8 bolt crank also, but im not sure dont quote me on that (being better that is)

So the block was cast in Windsor but the heads are Romeo???

No the 8th position is the engine type
The 11th position is the assembly plant.
