Default Quick question...99 GT vs M45?

Hey guys, I have a quick question. A guy at school's got a 2003-04 Infiniti M45 sedan, got a 4.5L V8, TRIPTONIC equipped 5 speed automatic transmission, and is mechanically stock. His engine is a Nissan which puts out 340hp and 333tq. BUT he's 4000lb's with him in it. And I know the triptonic will kill me.

Another kid, one of his friends, said "I'll bet you $100 that car will smoke yours off the line or a roll, no matter what."

My question is, how will Jason's M45 do against my '99 GT? I have an MGW short throw, BBK cattedx-pipe, full flowmaster setup, and a K&N CAI. Very basic bolt ons. Not stock, and like I said, his is stock. My car with me in it is also 450lbs lighter than his 4 dr.But I keep thinking it's going to be like racing a BMW 7-series? Just a V8 luxury sedan?

Also, would he beat me from a dig or a roll?

Oh and I never race on the street, if he wants to go, it would be at the local track, but then again, it would have to be from a dig there. I will also pull out my rear seat and spare tire if we do it.

great way to race your car before you sell it [8D]

lol jk man...just because he can shift his auto at whatever point he wants doesn't mean that the 4000+ car can beat you (if you don't miss a shift)

Take him from a dig, he'll make most of his power up top so you want to play this game low. According to one site i checked in on this car, its making 340 the the wheels, that means this is like one heavy LS1...i think it'll be close, but you'll be ahead...make sure he fills his tank up first

Yeah, and a triptonic means he has alightning quickmanual without a clutch. Kinda like a paddle shifter... but 340 to wheels! That doesnt sound right? It's making 340 to the flywheel, so the golden rule is take 15% off, so that means he's making roughly 290 to the wheels.

But he is much heavier. Our cars are 3385lbs curb weight, so with me in it, thats like 3600lbs almost. I'm feeling a little more confident now. I gotta work on my launches!!! [:@]

Haha yeah, I don't think he'll even race me, so I don't really have to worry about messing up the car before selling it. I just wanted to know if I could take him or not...

...but wait until I sell my GT and then I'm riding in a 99 Cobra!!! Then he's toast. I think I'll re-badge it as a GT, lol. Nobody who doesnt know about Mustangs will know the difference, even with the tail lights. That'd be sweeeeet.
