Default Sound deadening....

Ok... so I am lookin to reduce the pesty road noise that seems to come from the trunk area, thought Id get me some Dynamat... but after lookin around eBay there are alot of other brands out there... i would prefer a roll of it that I can cut myself as opposed to the sheets Dynomat sells, anybody got any info on FatMat or B-Quiet?? Or anyother good brand?? Also I have heard of and seen people use that roofing press and seal stuff... my buddy used it in his 93 GMC Dually... but it still isnt completley on the road... I seem to remember it being a bit messy. What you guys think??

This is my car..... http://www.secondskinaudio.com/forum...ead.php?t=2312

This is what I used.... http://www.secondskinaudio.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi

And heres a compairison of all the manufacturers out there... http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/

And dont use asphalt matting, when your car sits in the heat the asphalt will melt and start to call off...

I used the B-Quiet Ultimate on my floorboard and the Extreme on the doors and the entire trunk. It worked amazingly well. I would buy that over Dynamat any day.

Im sure it did... sound deadening is wicked ****! I have no desire to go through such lengths as doing the entire interior... but it will make the car alot quieter inside, and the stereo alot louder!

Thats for sure.... I would say it quieted my car by about 35% I am going to put another layer of damplifier (the silver stuff) on the floor and take the dash off and put two layers behind there.. Putting 2 layers down makes the damplifier 3x more of a sound barier. Not just 2x.. I cant tell you exactly why but i could search on the other forum about what i read... It ended up costing me $600 with shipping.. Worth it to me. It will be with the car for life and it makes driving my car more enjoyable... Thanks guys.

how much extra weight will it add?

and will it really help much if you just put it in the trunk?
