Default front crank seal

anyone ever have trouble with a front crankseal on a forged steel crank. just switched mine and ive went through 2 seals cause i thought maybe i got a bad one . but still no luck.

yep i think i gotta take that center bolt out and silicon it and try that. someone told me it will force out the forged steel cranks

If you didn't silicone the key then you will always have a leak and it won't be the seal. Its the same on either crank, good luck.

After I installed my Steeda pullies Ive been getting an oil leak inside my damper. I didnt silicone the keyway, so I guess thats why. And also explains why there was silicone on the Center bolt when I took it out. Thanks for the info FDNY...

your seal is more than likely still good especially if it has oil flowing past it to lubricate it..lol Just clean as much oil as possible because the silicone will not stick to a surface that's contaminated wil oil!!!
