Damn you gt owners, i have to put 7qt's in my cobra..............

quit your bitchin'

and extra 5 bucks per oil change isn't worth the extra 80 hp?

lol
Dude, you haven't even posted an adequate reply and your trashing this guys post. Shame on you. I think he was merely saying that we were lucky enough to only put in 6ts, not necessarily that it wasn't worth it to put in 7! I'm sure he's laughing all the way to the finish line when a GT pulls along side him, so quit your angry remarks please! Thank you
(sorry to the starter of this thread.. sorry for the hi-jack)

did you happen to notice the LOL at the end of the post?

twas merely a joke my friend.
relax. i wasn't bashing his post...
i was merly stating that 5 bucks extra is worth the extra HP.

oh.. and not this GT

Are you parked flat and level? I would think if you burnt half a court of oil in 20 miles you would see it smokin. Does your car smoke? Are you positive there is no leaks. Take some brake clean and clean the underside of you engine, take it for a spin and then check for leaks.

The dipsticks in our cars aren't real accurate. Before you dump more oil into the pan,you might want to drain the old oil out and see how much is actually in the pan.I'm not trying to insult your intelligence but if you didn't check it after starting the engine and filling the filter, you might just have an inaccurate dipstick.
I made my own marks on the dipstick by changing the oil and filter and aftercranking the engine long enough to fill the filter, using a center punch to mark the oil level after a drainback interval of about thirty minutes. You can make different marks such as the level right after shutdown with no drainback interval.
