Default Track times tonight

Well I finally went up to the track tonight... The last time I went to the track the only thing I had done was 3:73 gears with street tires and I only ran a 14.59

Tonight I went to the track to see how much My new toys helped... Nitto D/R's, LT headers, O/R h-pipe, SLP LMII catback... I was hoping to break into the 13's... I would have been happy with a 13.99

1st run - Didnt burn out long enough, 2.56 60ft 14.4 1/4
2nd run - Perfect burn out, 2.121 60ft 13.744 1/4!!! I was so excited... not only did i break into the 13's I got a 13.744.
My 3rd run I think my burnout was too long and almost same results as 1st run.

Pretty much my 1st and 3rd run i was just sitting in 1 spot spinning through 1st gear.
On my 2nd run I Launched at 4k rpm and I bogged down the tires stuck so well... I am very happy with the results... The car could run faster, but i only ran a 13.744.

he was using nittos... they blow chunks at the track.. I dont even consider them a DR i just think there nice tires for the street but IMO there definantly not track worthy.

Should you be doing a long and hard burnout with the nittos? Some people say yes, and others say no.

Nice times man. Get that 60' down and your into solid mid 13s with only a few mods. Must have the driver mod going for you!

Whats the best way to do a burnout in 2nd, just rev it up and drop the clutch or what?

get your 60' down to a 2.0 or 1.9 and your times will be a lot better. instead of dumpin the clutch, kind of feather it. it takes practice but your times should get a lot better.
