Default RE: rattling clutch

Mine does it as well... But mine its more of a squeek than a rattling. Its like something is covered in clutch dust and is scraping on something else. It does it whenever I push the clutch in, doesn't matter if its in neutral, im putting it in or taking it out of gear. I can even feel it throught the clutch pedal. As a matter of fact thats what I thought it was at first but then I put it on a lift and lifted it a little so my friend could get under a bit and he said it was coming from within the transmition. It's REALLY annoying... especially when I'm pulling up somewhere where theres people and they hear that nasty skreech... Hope a Spec Stage 2 clutch kit fixes it...

its so embaracing to me. I really want to get to the bottom of this. I have a huge doubt its the TOB because theoretically they are not spinning if its not engaged on the pressure plate so what else can be making that noise
If you ride your clutch at all, I mean rest your foot on the clutch pedal, you are causing the TOB to engage. The retainer wears out with this (I know and have the same issue). I am replacing my entire clutch to a stage 3 racing clutch with all the workings and that will alliviate this sound. I had an SVT service guy drive mine around and he called it. Note; you do not have to replace the clutch.... just the bearing and maybe your quadrant and cable. I am doing the flywheel, clutch and driveshaft all at once just because it will be easier to do it all at one time.
