SuperChip Micro Tuner
hi folk i have a black 03 GT with a cobra are front end and the steeda Q400 hood with the Steeda Racing wing along with the 2000 crobra R wheels but anyways i have a couple of mods like the SuperChip micro tuner and 40 series mufflers and the air silencer valve is no more ... my first question is..is the suprchip the chip version better than the micro tuner and second should i go with the bassani off road X pipe and the free flow flowmaster along with the bassani headers or just buy that flowmaster cat-back system with the bassani or hooker heads just like to ask which one will give me better performance i really dont care for the warranty cause i already know im going to F@#! that up anyways so what can ya tell me??

From what I've gathered if you are set on Flowmasters (which will not give you anything aside from sound), get an H-pipe. H-pipes will give you that muscle car sound and a little more torque. If you are set on an X-pipe (I bought the Bassani X), then get a straight through catback like Magnaflow (there is horsepower here<IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">...plus you'll have a better sound IMO). Typically the setups I've seen are like this</P>
H-pipe = more ft-lbs, less hp, muscle car sound</P>
X-pipe = less ft-lbs, more hp, NASCAR sound<IMG src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0">.</P>
As for headers...I just bought those new Bassani midlengths<IMG src=smileys/smiley8.gif border="0">.</P>
oh yea,...get a dyno tune and have them program your chip</P><edited><editID>GSXRIntensity</editID><editDate>37839.7915162037</editDate></edited>

Depending on your money, and sound preference...straight Bassani equipment will sound very nice IMO. I have a preference for Magnaflow, because currently they offer the most freely breathing cat-back on the market<IMG src=smileys/smiley14.gif border="0">. I didn't know that Flowmasters offered a straight threw system. I know they have 2 or 3 chambers, but hey...both Magnaflow & Bassani offer lifetime warrantees. Flowmaster offer one year I believe.
