Default tires suggestions wanted

ok so i have a friend that works at discount tire and i'm getting new tires but they don't carry the ones i wanted to get (proxie 4's) so anyone have any suggestions or preference on tires? i was thinking about getting some eagle f 1's.. i was thinking about running 275's and 315's or somethingsimilar in size... what you guys think?

BTW i do a lot of hard cornering in my car and i would like to get tires that don't have a lot of sidewall roll under

first off Proxy 4's are not what you want for hard cornering. They are merely an all-season tire! I would check out TireRacks website. They have specs on every tire and consumer reviews as far as handling and wet dry traction! in order to get 315's you need atleast a 10 more like 10.5"+ wide rim If you have stock rims then they are 8" wide and you cannot go more than 275 wide

+1

The F1s are also SUPER expensive! I would look into a nitto NT-01 or whatever it is for all out handling, or any number of other cheaper tires.

ok so i'll just say this, i have proxy 4's on my stock wheels and they handle just fine for hard corners (yes there are better tires)... eagle f1's are expencive but i forgotto mention that i'm getting whole sale on my tires, and a 315 will fit on a 9 in wheel just fine, i have done it a few times (just not to any of my cars) but thats not realywhat i'm asking.... i was asking what you guys like for tires and your experiences with them and if anyone had uses the f1's..... this is more of a what tires have u used in the past and pros/ cons about them

my car is a DD and i want a tire that will have a decent tread wear and desent performance to them, so no drag radias or autocross tires please

BTW i'm staying away from nittos, i have had a blow out with 2 different sets of them, one set the 555r and the other set was the 450'stires where properly inflated at the time

I would stick with proxies, true they arent the greatest tires, but price to quality wise they are pretty damn good. I have proxy t1r's and they take what I hand to em and then more. If you are looking for nice top of the line tires with some awesome grip, look into michelin ps2's, pricey but they are also pretty good.

Personal preference would still go toward the toyo's =P

When I was looking I went with KDW2s not as expensive as the F1s but handle great.

depending on how big the discount is you might be able to ge toyo's for cheaper than their competitors, look around

Im about to buy a set of new tires for my new wheels and Im going back with Toyo Proxes. I had them when I first bought the car and I ditched them for BFG KDWS when they went bald and that had to be one of the worst decisions I made. My car rode sooo much more comfortable with the Toyo tires so TOYO FTW!
