Default H-Pipe question...

I know, I know, this is probably the 84930482304 midpipe question, but I was just wondering if there is a performance increase by replacing my stock H-pipe with a high-flowcatted H-pipe while still using my stock exhaust? Also, how much louder will my stock exhaust be with the addition of a new high-flow catted H-pipe? I know alot of you will say just get a new cat-back, but since money is tight, I am just modding my car in pieces and don't have money for a new cat-back at this point. Let me know your opinions. Thanks!

It'll be a louder deeper tone. Gains will be minimal!

What is a good catted H-pipe to go with? I did some looking around yesterday and it seems like a most of the aftermarker h-pipes are off road.

I am having the same issue, MAC makes one.... to my knowledge from what I have seen, that is the only one. I love the H pipe sound and am considering just beating the **** out of my stock H's cats to make them free flowing. Cheaper

Bfeore you go buying a catted H-pipe just make sure your not going to add Long Tubes in the near future becuase you'll have to for out another $400. I know Magnaflow has a stainless piece for around $450 compared to the other mild steel macs and BBK's for $389
