Default Motor install

Anyone pulled there motor from the top? I pulled my motor from the top with out the trans and was wondering will it fit back in w/the headers from the top????

If they are long tube headers no. You won't even be able to get the transmission off of the back of the engine. If you have shorties yes.

Ive heard that it will fit back in through the topwith long tubes. Let us know either way if it works. Ill be doing it in a couple months.

I did this with my motor swap and lt's... It comes out through the top with tranny attached and stock headers with no problem, easy as cake. it goes back in the same...But if you have lt's it wont come out or go in through the top with them on. You gotta take them off and put them on with the motor in almost all the way.

Bottom line, if you have lt headers just take the whole thing out with the transmission. It will save you a lot of headaches in the long run. I promise
