my 18X10's don't have any issues in the car washes, and no they won't fill in the wheel well any more because the tire will be lower profile.

Just because you have 18x10 rear wheels doesn't mean you'll get more traction than a 17x9. It has to do with the tire you put on them! You can have a 275/40 on a 17 as well as an 18(275/35) same thing. Same width touching the ground. Now yuou can obviously use the full 10" width for a real tire and get a 305 or more like a 315/30/18! Now that's a badass tire and you should notbe spinning with those!

I went to this one place to get my car washed... My tires are 12.5" wide side wall to side wall and it barely fit, I had 1/2" to spare. But I will never go to one again. Because as the guy was driving my car through the tracks my left muffler hit one of the rails on the track and pulled it off the mid pipe. I had to beat the clamp back on since it slipped right off.

I currently work at a car wash [:@]....ugghh i hate it, but any how I take my stang through it...And the track accepts my 17x10.5 w/ 315/35s...Its close but I do fit...
