You could forge it and throw some juice on it. That would be pretty good!

+1 on saving a little more money and going with the supercharger. you are wasting your time rebuilding the engine atm. If you put a forged shortblock in you will still have a basically stock performing car but with 2500 bucks in the engine

Alot of people talk (talk) about building the engine before the blower, but they don't realise that if you were going to acutally build the shortblock for FI you would run a lower compression setup, which would acutally cost you power until you put the blower on. Not to mention that the stock shortblock can make 420+ WHP safely for nearly as long as the engine would last n/a.

Look into some high performance heads. Don't forget about suspension!!! Horsepower isn"t everything, you're not doing any good when you are just sitting there spinning your tires while your compitetion is down the street. A good suspension can give you take off speed, braking performance, and awesome cornering.

Installing a set of aftermarket (that is to say, worked stockers, poor 2vs) is not going to make very good results in an otherwise stock (or bolton only) car.

It would be pretty easy to wrap up 2500 bucks in a heads/cams pacakage and end up withonly a310~ WHP car. Lots and lots of money for small results on the stock shortblock.

FI ftw!

Build your bottom end. After that you have a lot more to play with.

High performance heads. Or lack thereof.

Save a few more pennies and find a good centrifugal supercharger. You will be fine with a properly tuned, forced induction, stock engine as long as you don't pass the magical 450hp point of no return.

Im seriously thinking the laughing gas and suspension because this car is my daily driver and power on demand would be ideal. Is it safe to run a 100 shot on stock internals? I will of couse change to colder plugs, slightly larger injectors,..ect. but I def dont wanna blow my motor the first spray down the track.

i know this has been asked a hundred times, but wet or dry spray. I been leaning towards the wet but I wanted to know if theres anything i might have overlooked when comparing the two.
