Default t56 Question

Hey guys I bought a t56 last year from D&D Performance. About 2 months later I qas putting in a new clutch and didn't have the tranny jack at the time and dropped it. Well I put a hair line crack in the tail housing. Well I called D&D today and asked about getting a new one. You'll never guesse how much they told me. $800. Does anyone know of a company that sells the tail housing for less then $800??

Yeah thats the only thing I can think of. I think if I unbolt the tail housing nothing will happen. Like no gears or anything will come out. Atleast I hope not.
