Default Help and quick

Im trying to get my camshafts put in this weekend, and as they arrived today its cuttting it pretty close. The boxes say I need "new camshaft followers, installing with old followers will cause early camshaft failure.

Ford parts has no idea what im talking about, except that maybe it is the rocker arms???, they quoted me 30 bucks each (ouch) for them. What do i do?

their referring to the lash adjustors, and theirs no need for new ones really just bleed the stockers down and put em back in the same hole. they simply pump up with oil and take the slack outta the valvetrain, they put pressure from the underside of the rocker opposite the valve side. many engine builders "recommend" new ones, but I didn't buy into it and neither has alot of folks... as a matter of fact I don't know anyone that has every replaced a lash adjustor unless it wasn't pumping up.
