Default Clutch question

What do you guys think about this clutch? SPEC Stage 1 Clutch (Mid 01-04 Mustang GT, 99-04 Cobra, and 03-04 Mach 1) Im looking for a clutch that has about half the throw my stock 02 gt clutch has. Anyone have any ideas? Whats a good clutch? Only going to push 350 wheel hp.

The spec stage 1 should be enough to handle 350 WHP. Its going to be a little stiffer than stock but not much.

So much as the clutch travel, you will need to get a clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster to adjust where it engages/disengages, but the overall travel will be about the same.

If you want a little more insurance setup up to a stage 2. The clutch is still fairly easy to push in but has more grip than the stage 1.

I've got a dual friction clutch installed my 99 Stang by Center Force. The performance is just awesome.

if you do the stage 2, may as well go up one more to the stage 3 for 20 bucks more.

i don't know if they make the plus for stage 1 & 2, but those are apparently much better for the street. i didn't find out about the stage 3+ til after i had mine installed and ready to go. [:@] the stage 3 isn't bad though, it's not much stiffer than stock.

if you are going to get the clutch replaced and you have the extra money, i would recommend upgrading your flywheel. you don't need to replace, but you will enjoy the benefits of the increased torque.
