Nice times. What kind of tires you run? I ran on some MT ET streets last night. I really like them.
I was running 315/35/R17 Nitto drag radials.

People say you can't launch on the nittos, but I think they just need suspension work. These 2 were my 2 very first runs on a strip... so if I can do it anyone can.

Its not a full fledged track tire by any means... but you also know your not going to shatter a spider gear with them like the mach 1 did today... renting a trailer is not my idea of fun.

The fox springs helpwith wieght transfer. The front end comes up more and forces the rear to sit harder.

What happens when I concentrate on reaction time:

Not exactly my finest launch of the day. I need to get the two step and shift light going so I don't have to pay attention to the tach anymore

I got mine used from code3gt

Also, the springs will give you a fairly healthy drop. I am going to install the roush rear springs and will then take a few pics of the results.

The problem was the 2nd gear shift. I would shift hard, the car would get crazy and wheelhop. I was probably spinning for a good half second or more before I finnally caught traction and was able to finish the run. I think this might have been costing me not only ET but MPH?

I really expected to trap better than a 114 MPH. I was thinking more in the 118 range.

I got mine off Ebay! $40 shipped!

Those are good times man. You got all summer to learn the car, dont worry about it. 11's are well in reach.

BTW, spinning will cost you ET, but not trap. If anything, spinning will result in a slightly HIGHER trap than if you got a good clean run.

P.S. Dont feel bad about 4th. I missed 4th on a simulated 1/4 mi run on the dyno! In front of like 25 people. TWICE. lol

Nice times....the MPH 114 on a sticky(no spin good track and slicks)car could be an easy 11.80's(potential is definately there)....I ran 11.40's @ 117...Remember ,anything picked up in the 60 should equate to a faster 1/4 time...its all about the 60's....Good Job....yes I've been when the fast cars show up and breakin ****z left and right..and ruin the track for the rest of the payin folk..it sucks....

I just read where you running $hitto drag radials. I'll go on record right now and say you won't be in the 11's untill you ditch those $hitto's. Nothing against you or your car but that's just what I've observed over the years. I would suggest a 26x11.5x15 Hoosier Quick Time Pro, I can drive to the track with mine and pull 1.5 60's and drive home[8D]

Yeah, I cant dump the nittos until I do something with the rearend, I can't afford to snap the 8.8 with a set of MTs 2 hours away from home at the track.
