All Fordged parts??????

Uhhh.... I've seen them go as high as 1000 horses..... but why would you want that much? Traction is pretty much non exsistant at that point and you'll get beat by my moms van from a stop light because you'll be spinning tires all the way through 3rd.

So your saying the block can hold whatever you through at as long as you have the internals to handle it? I don't know about a 4.6 block but a engine builder told me a stock 302 block can hold 600 hp. He said even if you put parts that could hold 1000 hp the block wouldn't hold it. So a stock 4.6 block can hold 1000 hp provided that the internals can hold it????

Yep. That's one good thing about the mod engines. Very strong blocks.

+1 as much as you can throw at it... just dont over look the oil pump or any of the other powertain i.e. tranny rear-end. Its nice tho b/c we can just keep building it up, what really hold us back are the heads, getting up to 1000 horses, they are restrictive, even the p&p ones are still restrictive compared to other cars but ya the block is good for a lot.

Nice! I'm not looking for 1000hp but 600 would be nice and is doable with what I have . Justneed a good forged bottom end and some head work. Then I can max out the P-1 and add the nitrous. Still need to do the tranny and rear end also.

Any idea what 600horses feels like??? I friend of mine has a 2002 ZO6 with twin turbos, pushing about 625 hp. I won't drive it, to damn scary for me and that is in a Vette. 600 horses in a Mustang would be down right deadly.... IMO

My friend has a Trans Am that is procharged and sprayed and is pushing over 700hp. I drove it and I think that is right around the amount I want in my car maybe a bit more.

Yea, I rode in a car that dynod 505 at the wheels and over 600 with 125 shot. I have 400 hp now and I'm used to it. 600 should surely tie me over for a while. Nice thing is that I don't have to pay any labor on the engine build and I already have the blower and nitrous kit. I think I should be able to do it all for around 2500 or so.
