I think it would depend on what you wanted from you car. What other exhaust mods do you have or do you plan on doing? On an otherwise stock GT, I don't think it'll matter which mid-pipe you go for, because neither will deliever eye-popping rwhp alone. The Bassani will likely net you a little more kick up top with with the MRT giving you a 'slight' edge in the midrange. Both systems sound smoother with the cats as opposed to an o/r setup. The MRT is a little deeper sounding though. I bought the Bassani x-pipe with the highflow cats, but removed and replaced them with the cat-eliminator pipes that came w/it. I have run my car both ways. I passed emissions last year w/out any cats[8D]. I would base my mid-pipe purchase on what type of cat-back you want to compliment it with. As a general consensus chambered exhaust sound better w/h-pipes and straight through sound better w/x-pipes. Everyone's taste differ though.

Are there any exhaust clips on this site? Does anyone have any links to some good mustang exhaust clip sites?

I have the MRT catted and pretty happy with it. I installed it with a slp cb and noticed a little kick in performance. My h pipe fit like crap. the bends that go to the manifold were too sharp and it hit the driveshaft and the floor pans. I had to heat it up with a torch and bend it down. Seems like I'm the only with this problem as everyone else praises MRT's quality.
The H sounds alot more muscley imo. I've heard the same cb but with a catted x and it just didn't sound as good. I just ordered a mac cb though because the lm1's are just too loud.
I'm sure you'll be happy either way you go.

not to jack the thread but will xpipes that are made of two peices welded together (upr, pypes) flow just as good as the stamped crossover pipes (bassani, bbk)?

Just get what you like the sound of better. The gains will probably be .5-1hp of a difference between the too. Listen to some clips and judge from your own opinion.
