Default Install tie rods?

Ok guys i recently blew a tie rod on the drivers side of my car, i then noticed fords stupid mistake of making them non-greasable, so if they get low u cant add more grease.. ok so i had the one side replaced but i fear for the other side breaking, is this the part that will fit? its a 96 gt mind u, and how would i go about installing it? and how hard would it b? can i do it in my garage at home?

Default RE: Install tie rods?

looks right to me, but id jus run over to autozone and pick it up, its not a tuff job i had to do one couple months ago. first u get the wheel off, loosen the bolt at the back of where the tie rod end by turning it right, but dont turn it far off, just loosen it and leave it there. next there will be a cotter pin through the bolt on top of the end closet to the wheel, grab a long nose pull that out, then remove the nut. next comes the tricky part, i hear they make a tool for this but not sure wat it is, wat i have is like a over sized fork thet i place in the spot that joins the tie rod and were it connects, knock that sucker in there acouple times it will loosen then the tie rod shuld drop out, u can then unscrew it screw the new one in up till the nut u left on the arm and assemble
