changing springs

Don't use spring compressors. My buddy and I did the springs all around without even touching that thing. Just put some kind of jack under the control arm and once everything is disconnected, lower it slowly until the spring is fully extended. For the front, you need to pry it out because the a arm goes all the way down and still isn't far enough to just pull the spring out. The rear is easy, it just comes right out. I wish I had a tech article for you, but I don't. If you can find someone that even semi knows what they're doing, it will be easy.

Just remember to undo your abs sensor wire inALL the holding points...allows the lower arm to drop enough to get the spring out with ease..put a floor jack under the arm...removed theupper nuts retaining the strut..and also the outer tierod(to swing the spindle ) and the stabilizer end(sway bar links)....really very easy to do.....the new spring being much shorter is even easier to put back in...
