Did I hurt my 04 GT?

Did I hurt my 04 GT?
This car is so badass and fun to drive, and I could not help myself to give it a really hard run through the gears today getting on the tollway. My car only has 600 miles. I know it should be broken in and I am going to change the oil soon, but are these engines better and stronger than the 96-98 GTs? I used to sell fords back then and I personally blew up two seperate GT's on test drives...and we weren't even beating them that bad. I am hoping that my car wont have any bad long term, or short term problems from beating on it so soon. How are these new 4.6L's? Please give me some piece of mind or let me know to take it easy.

Man did I woop on it yesterday. I was chirping second, and I swear that third chirped too. Could I be wrong? I let off at 100. This was getting on the tollway late at night where there were no people and almost NO cars. I really wasn't sure how fast the GTs were, but now I know they kickass. I can just imagine how fast the 03-04 cobras are!!

Same here. Ive had my ride for seven months and 20,000 miles and it still gets better and better with ever run at the track. They are great little engines if you ask me and can take abuse out the ying yang... but be ready for a rebuild at or about 150,000 miles.

I was out on the scene tonight and I came across a guy selling a 5k mile old 03 cobra that was stock and in perfect shape. I could have bought his car for what I paid for my 04 I just got. A little buyers remorse here but I still love my screaming yellow GT!
