well good news, my mom said she'd co-sign but only on a new car that has a warranty. so i can get a loan for 20k and i got about 9 to put down. can i still get pre-owned car tho with the warranty or hows that work? and does it HAVE to be from a dealer?

lol yea, and where she lives theirs no emmisions so i'll reg it in her county. but the question i had was can i still buy a pre-owned one with a warranty? thats the only way shes gonna co-sign is if it still has the warranty or brand new. and also jdan or anyone, do you prefer bassani's x-pipe or magnaflows? and if i don't wanna void the warranty i best not change the headers right?

You can always find a '03/'04 anything with a warranty if you look around. Usually a car that new wont have but a few thousand miles on it. Then you can also purchase the Extended Warranty which has really helped me the past few times Ive taken my ride in for work. The premiium warranty runs about $1100.

About the pipes: I would go with either pipe. They both manufactor quality pipes. I went with Bassani because they have a good back ground. The '00 Cobra R come with a Bassani X pipe. Cant beat that car.

is there sales tax when you buy from a private party? and i almost walked off the lot today with a 03 cobra. i have a hookup on the lots and the lowest they coulda gone was 27k, my step bro said he thinks he might be able to go lower because he works at another lot but same company. i woulda taken that offer in a hearbeat but what stopped me was the clutch had already been grinded out just about, the tires were bald, and the breaks were almost done. that right there said the car was beaten, and i didn't know if i was ready to drop all that money on a car like that, and it had 33k miles. it did have the chrome rims and it was red, it looked really clean as far as the exterior/interior goes. i was so pist when i left cuz i wanted it so bad but i had to be logical and think it out. but what i was thinking if they fixed the breaks/tires/clutch would it be worth buying for around 26k and also buying the extended warranty for a cheap price through my step-bro.

When you register your car you'll pay sales tax on the book value of the car...
