Default Tuneup, how often?

My Mustang has 17,300 miles, and I was thinking it was probably time for it's first tune up. Of course I will put NGK plugs, get some fuel injector cleaner, and maybe get a K&N air filter. I don't think it's probably necessary to change the plug wires and dist. cap. Anywho how often do yall do tune ups? My car is 4 years old so I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Personally, I'd give tune ups as needed. But 20K-30K miles is about the norm to keep your car in good shape.

Considering your car is 4 years old, If you haven't had a tune up yet, a tune up would definitely be worth it.

Cool looks like I'll be ordering the parts now. Some questions.. which NGK plugs should I get and can I get them from a regular autoparts store or do I have to buy them online? Just wondering what all I need., and I will definately get the K&N air filter. Thanks in advance.

I was just going tosay the same thing, and we don't have plug wires we have coil packs.
Make sure you change the blicker fluid to,you don't want that to go bad.[sm=goodidea.gif]

Ahh gotcha. My old truck had that so I just assumed these cars do too., but I guess not! Should I even replace the coil packs or do those go awhile without being replaced?

They won't go bad for a LONG time, especially in your case with 17k.

The other stuff sounds good though, but I'd just check the plugs first and replace if necessary.
