Default Coolant Leak!!! HELP!!!

Well the good news is I know where the leak is coming from. The bad news is that NO MATTER WHAT I cnat get this leak to stop... The leak is on the thermostat housing and is coming out the sides. I bought the new "O" ring from ford and that didnt fix it so i bought som gasket maker and put that on and that just made it worse! What should I do? Has anyone else had this problem?

Mine does but its a different motor. I would imagine yours would to since theres coolant flowing through it there needs to be a seal hence a gasket.

it has an o ring on a 99 gt... make sure your putting it on correctly and htat it is seated well before you put on the watter outlet connection to the hose... wiggle it or what not make sure it has a good seal... i'd say use a lil black rtv but u really shouldnt need to with an o ring!!
