Clutch Choices
What is a good aftermarket clutch to go with? I want something with a little more grab than factory!
And what is the difference between puck, twin disk, and something like factory?

RE: Clutch Choices
just posted this yesterday and nobady responded, but a puck style is really for race use. You will have a harsh engagement. I have also read that King Cobra clutches don't last long at all! I think because they make the disc thinner for quicker engagement so it wears the little bit of material it has out kinda quick. I have had a Centerforce Dual friction, but that's 90% more holding capacity and has smooth engagement and light pedal effort. That will wear out faster on a stock flywheel and everyday use, but I never had a problem with chattering as well! You will get chattering with puck styles. I just bought a Hays 490-95-201 from Jegs for $270 with all parts needed for install minus pilot bearing! I think Hays is just coming out with the kits for the stangs because I don't see them around much???? They are real big on Mopar and GM's. Heard good things about specII's but check on the chattering thing, which happens on slow engagement city driving!

RE: Clutch Choices
I have used Centerforce in every car I have built and have always had great performance from them. There are of course other good quality manufacturers out there, but I tend to stick with a good product when I find it.
