Hey everyone, thanks for the help in advance knowing i will get some from this wonderful forum im glad to have just became a part of, now down to business.

Ive been searching the threads, didnt find anything like this. When i start the car it idles fine.. then it gets a little rough the tach deviates between 500-750 rpms while in park idling, when i put it into any gear it drops to 5 shortly and feels like it wants to stall then rebounds. Also, there is a thump coming from the right front side of the car while it is parked (id compare it to hearing someone walk above you while youre on the bottom of a 2story apartment) it only does it say once every 10 seconds, its not very loud, but i have picked it up. also, the car feels shaky, the steering wheel and the entire car somewhat resonates with vibration, but ALL this goes away as soon as i press on the gas. Any suggestions?


as for a side note, i havent found anyone running flowmaster 30's, why is this? did i screw up? haha

 

Yeah that thump sounds like a misfire or backfire. Do you have your check engine light on? I would definately change your plugs and wires as this has most impact on that sorta thing! I would also change your Fuel filter which is loacted jut in front of the gas tank above the rear end..very easy to get to!

 

no, the check engine light is not on. thats what i figured. i assumed it was probably a fouled spark plug, so i will probably switch those out with the platinum +4. whats the gap for a 2002 gt? thanks for the help
