I always wanted a car with a V8, manualtranny, rear wheel drive, had a ton of potential to be modded. As others said, its a sports car that can be hadfor a reasonable or cheap price. I'm naturally a Ford guy so it was a obvious that right now the best choice for performance, price, style, it being American, and it match the criteria for having the V8, manual tranny (was probably the most important factor in buying the car) and rear wheel drive. Its pretty fast but speed isn't everything. The car has to have a little of everything including speed, handling, manueverability, looks, and efficiency, so the car is a whole package. Overall I love my GT and I like getting thumbs up from other people as I'm sitting next to them at a stop light. They're usually guys around my dad's age probably thinking they were just like me when they were my age.

i got mine for looks, the way it sounds (the 4.6 sounds amazing when you an exhuast on it), theyre not expensive, and they get decent gas milage granted you dont have a lead foot. theyre also a reliable car and fun to drive around. theyre not the fastest thing in the world but it gets the job done.

V8, economical (fuel, insurance, maintenance), good sticker price. Was also looking at a Lincoln LS V8 and Crown Vic. No other manufacturer had anything comparable. BMW/Mercedes was too much $$$ for what you get.

I used to love Supras, but realized that even in the year 2002 the newest one I could get would be car from 97. Test drove a 97 GT and fell in love with Mustangs. Liked the New Edge body style more than SN95's and it became my new goal. Almost got a Scion instead, but stuck to my guns and got the Stang. Haven't regretted it since................
Except slightly when my cousin told me that a supercharger for his Scion only costs $600. and a turbo costs $300.

my close friends were driving camaros, RX7s, vetts, etc.... and i was driving a 1996 nissan altima and i got tired of them makein fun of my 4 banger so i went and bought a mustang which no one had and i thought they were the sexiest cars ever
