Default Which option is best??

I mainly use my car for, please don't flame me for this, street racing...with occasional but very limited track visits (maybe 1 per year, since closest track is in another state)

My main desire is to hook up during launch on the street. I have formulated two options that you can see in my poll which I think will help my launch quite a bit.

Option #1 costs roughly $935 Pros: More traction, nicer look Cons: Price, Rain/Wet performance
Option #2 costs roughly $550 Pro: Price, wet perf. Cons: Traction issue?

With 340whp would option #2 be enough for a good launch or will I have to go with option #1

Well you said you want to be able to hook up good... #2 would get the job done... BUT if you really want to hook up and have the $$ for #1... it's a no brainer.

PS - Street racing is definitely not good, but I won't flame you... I own a Corvette and a fellow owner over on our forums just posted this cool video. Not exactly "racing" but oh my god, these guys are fast, check it out.

You could allways go with bigger KDW2's on the deep dish wheels. Tires will look mean and last a lot longer than those drag radials.

how long do they last?
I know the Nittos should last for about 15K miles, which is surprisingly high for a Drag Radial..

Also, with a 10.5 rim the highest BFG KDW II tire size I can put on is 295, which is a little small for that wide of a rim. And I could buy two sets of Nitto Drag Radials (30K miles) for a little more than the price of 2 BFG KDW II tires, the only problem being wet weather handling
