Default Does this sound reasonable?

I just got quoted $575 + tax by a dyno shop about 2 hours away from me. This was for: SCT Xcal2 tuner, tuning, and dyno time.

Does this price sound reasonable for all that? Im not going to be getting it done until I get my lt's and new midpipe, but I was searching around for dyno shops and this one was the closest that had an in house dyno.

Yes - I think so if you get to keep the tuner which is a $400 value in its self.

Well, the guy also told me this: I could come to the shop, do 3 dyno pulls for $85 w/ no tuning. If I wasnt happy with the way my #'s were and my a/f, then we could do the whole tuning thing, and he wouldnt charge me for my 3 initial pulls. Sounds like a good guy to me.

He also invited me up to check out the shop and watch some of his tuning if I want to. I may do that before I get mine done.

BTW, the place is called Dynotune Motorsports. Has anyone ever heard of/been to this place? Its in Galloway, Ohio.

I don't think it is worth the money to get a custom tune with your mods. Wait till you get full bolt on or some kinda FI. Just buy a tuner and use the box tune for now and when you need a tune then get it.

Well see, Ive thought about that too. But the reality is, I'm in college (graduating in December hopefully), and this is my daily driver. I dont want to do any major mods to it yet since I drive close to 400 miles a week just to get to school. Since I'm going to have full exhaust (jlt rai, bbk 75mm tb/plenum, mac lt's, catted h, borla stingers), I was told that it would be a very good idea to get the dyno tune to make sure that my a/f ratio was good. Thats basically the only reason I'm going to get it done.....well....that and I want to see my #'s. But after the headers, mid, and tune are done, I'm going with cosmetic mods, and then I'll be pretty much done with the car.............at least until I'm out of school anyways.
