A/C ambient temp. switch
Forgive the stupid question... I just picked up the GT 2 weeks ago and don't know much about it yet. This forum is helping and is very helpful as everyone knows...
Does anyone know if the 2003 GT has a ambient temp. switch that disables the A/C system in cold weather...say below 45 degrees? I tried the A/C the other day (ambient temp. of about 45-50) and it seems very weak... Does anyone know if the A/C system is weak in the Mustangs and that could be the issue? It doesn't seem to be blowing cold air at all. Just like 45 - 50 degree air. From my limited experience with A/C systems, most work on/sense the ambient temperature and will only achieve a temperature differential (between the air blowing thru vents and the outside air) of about 40 degrees. So if it's about 45-50 the system may not run because the system can't achieve an inside air temp of 10-20 degrees thru the vents.
Thanks for the input.
