Default upper control arm question

this guy told me about the upper control arm bushings having some sort of a box that takes the tension out of the rear end so it doesnt rip the floor of the car out? has any one heard of something like this?

I've never heard of anything like that. He may have been talking about the battle boxes you can buy to stiffin up the area where the control arms bolt to the body.

You can either re weld the torque boxes to improve them or you can buy new ones and go thru a MASSIVE hassle to reweld them in.;

What kinda mods on your car? Unless you have ALOT and are running say sub 1.50 60's you shouldn't have to worry.

+1 I know a guy that did this install and he said it was a massive pain in the azz. For sure something I'd put off until massive hp was there.

You can get uppers and lowers as a set from ebay for $75 or just lowers or just uppers for $35, $45. I do remember seeing ones that bolt through the floor, but then you have a bolt sticking through and even if you cut it off you stil have the nut stickin up, but it's def much easier than welding them! But I wouldn't get uppers anyways all they do is stiffen your ride quality! I wish I never got them

well the thing is, is that i already got the uppers and lowers. that is why this guy told me that i should look at getting those boxes becasue im stiffining up the rear now and its going to prob rip out the upper control arm bracket. right now my car has 400 hp and is going to just keep rising, so i really dont wanna break my car. lol thanks
