i use an attachment on my garden hose that runs the water through an ion exchanger, alot like what people use on their sinks for drinking water except its tailored to pull the calcium out of the water instead of chlorine, that way all i have to do is do a final rinse after a wash and let it sit and dry on its own. no spots, no streaks. car is silver which helps. i don't know who made it but you can find similar crap at your auto store.

It gets all the tiny bits of dirt and dust thats left on your car after so you dont rub it in with the wax. Makes it shine twice as much, its like looking into a mirror.

heres some detailed info on it for you:
http://www.web-cars.com/detail/clay.php

And a link to the product:

Goodluck!
