Default Powerpipe?

I have read a lot about this "Powerpipe", what exactly is that?? What does it do? And is there more than one brand that makes it?

What it is is an enlarged smooth pipe for the intake side of the blower. The blower has to work less to pull the air in and thus it can suck more air. More air = more psi to the motor.

i thought it also moved the MAF farther into the fender or something so it gets colder air. i could very well be mistaken though.

as for power...

before powerpipe: 362 rwhp, 363 rwtq
after powerpipe: 356 rwhp, 373 rwtq

actually lost a few rwhp...i was pretty disappointed about it to be honest...but i think it had to do with it being a lot hotter and more humid when i got the powerpipe put on than in winter when i had the s/c originally installed.
