Default Brake Rotors

i plan on upgrading my brakes in the future and i was wondering what you guys think about slotted rotors on a dd. i didnt know if they would be overkill. i would get the plain rotors but thats just it they look too plain. what do yall think?

the will go through pads pretty fast. drilled and slotted is worse. kinda like a cheese grater. but it will work if that's what you are asking.

I just went through all this. The slotted rotors won't do much except for looks on a street car. Can't turn them if you need to. I ordered bigger cobra brakes from summit. But if your just going for looks ebay has some nice lookin rotors for$125 and up for all 4.

slotted/drilled rotors provide marginal cooler air to your calipers, and in return for the cooler air they cut your pad like theres no tomorrow, therefore on a dd, if you have money to be replacing pads then go with those kind of rotors. To me they are a waste of money that could be spent elsewhere. Go to buyfordracing.com get the mach1 brake kit, its the same as the bullit/cobra brake kit and its about 60 bucks cheaper. I have the same ones and could not be happier, also, if you wanna upgrade the rear they have a rear brake bracket kit for 175, just know its gonna take alot more work to upgrade the rears than it is to do the front. it took me about an hr to install the mach1 brake kit, and I've never done it before.

Decela Rotors from Baer. $189 for front and the same for the back. I use ceramic pads and they work like a dream. I wish I could afford $1000 or more for the big brakes, but these work great. All your doing is replacing your stock for these.
