I'd without a doubt put my money on the z28.
hmm, i dont kno. i think midpipe plus catback, 3.73s, tune should do it if not right there with it. Now of course this depends on what option rear end that camaro has. Stock 95 z28's with a4 trans came with 2.73 gears. It was an option in some to come stock equipped with 3.23's. While all m6's came with 3.42's

Drivers race but because he has an auto and you have a 5 speed you should > him.
that statement only works in the ford world. Those gm boys can build a pretty decent auto
my friend ran 12.8 in his 6 speed ls1 with exhaust
my enemy ran 13.4ish with his auto ls1
both pretty cold days within 2-3 degreese of on another + same humidity almost
my enemy ran 13.1 with drag radials
that statment is true in any world
as far as the race goes
it'd be pretty close but his car probably has like 99999k miles and you hopefully have less so, he will have power loss. just make sure everything on your car as far as periodic maintenance is done and check your tire pressure...then make a few practice rounds, then beat him

Top end he will get you. I raced a pretty much stock LT1. Lid and catback, which I still consider stock. We did about 5 races. I always had him until about 110, and then he would start to pass me. From a 20 mph roll, I pulled about 3 cars instantly and by about the top of 4th he had about 3 cars on me. I'd say he'd win.

My friends Auto LT1 ran a 14.7 at the track. A 5 speed would be right with you though.

i raced a lt1 when i was stock from about 25 to 90...we were perfectly even to 80 when i pulled him...i dont know why people are saying its better top end...maybe they think that cuz its more aerodynamic?

A stock LT1 and a stock 99-04 GT, the GT will win by a good car. When you put headers on a LT1, they are faster than an LS1 mostly stock. I know, my friends had an LT1, now a LS1

r the stock manifolds on the lt1's really that damn restrictive that a pair of long tubes open them up enough to run with some ls1's?????[&:] i find that very hard to believe that you can sit there and say a pair of long tubes is going to add 30+hp to a stock motor
