And if you think that a stock goat, regardless of it being a 6.0 or 5.7, is a "freaking fast car" you have never been in a really fast car.

Go out and testdrive a LS1 powered C5 and see what you think, completely different car. The earlyer model 350s have NOTHING on the LS1 sieres. Hell, I completely SPANKED a mid 70s vette with a 383 stroker, aluminum heads, intake, etc etc etc. I wouldn't dream of racing a H/C/I ls1 powered car (vette or fbody).

when i had my 97 gt i test drove a 1989 vette and it didnt feel that much faster..now my 02 gt i think would kill that 89 vette..if u wanna know a fast car try the 06 bmw m3..wow that thing is fast my friend gave me a ride in his ****k...and i drove my friends brothers gto..thats pretty ****in fast 2.

I drivena 2004 convertible vette PLENTY of times and honestly it didnt feel THATTTT much faster than my car. The top end is wayyyy faster but down low and mid range it didnt feel that much faster. Yea it felt fast as hell but from a dig my GT felt really similar. but overall its way nicer ride. its more comfortable and the interior is alot more enjoyable. I got into a 98 t-top vette last week and man that thing was uncomfortable. wayyy too small and a nasty interior. I dont know what made the 04 so much nicer than the 98 but it was a lot better car

You might jump it off the line, be he is gonna come blowing by pretty hard in 2nd gear.
hmm... sounds like a dog of a vette... I've seen a 8-71ed c3 that ran a high 13... these big motor cars have no top-end to finish out the quarter... sure they can pull out a redwood tree... but they can't get out of their own shadow...

yea i wouldnt doubt that he would beat me. Im sure he will but from the butt dyno my car really didnt feel that much slower than it. The average person couldnt notice that big of a diffrence. My little brother rode in both and thought my car felt faster because it breaks loose in 2nd

Well, let`s see. I have one of each, ( `00GT, & a `87 L98 Vette). They are apples & oranges. The Mustang is not a sports car, it is a muscle car. The Corvette is not a muscle car, it is a sports car. Stock for stock, the 13 year older Vette will out handle the Mustang no problem. Personaly i feel lucky to have two of the best American icons
