If placed before the cats, you will definitely see a performance improvement. If placed after the cats, not much at all. They will be much louder of course.

We sell the QTP electric cutouts and they are great because you can choose to open them all the way, partially open them or close them completely off with a flick of a switch.

As far as back pressure goes, that will only slightly effect the bottom end on the power band very little on a V8 engine. On the top end, they will definitely yield a power gain.

Would it sound like s*!t on a stock exhaust system? me and my friend were debating..he said to get a new midpipe for sure or it will sounds like crap.

And also, after the midpipe i hear sounds hell of alot better/louder then after headers/before midpipe...correct?

Yeh, I dont know if it will sound good, espiacally with everything stock, Im saying go with midpipe/catback and go the safe way, cutout is $400, when you can get a really nice midpipe for $400 or much less. Plus you already have Flowmaster 40 series, just get rid of the stock 2-2.25 inch piping and get 2.5 inch piping to help with the sound/performance..Thats just my opinion...but its your car

He's worried about O/R cause he will need to get it smogged, but then again he can just put the stock H back on , then take it off again, but here in Bay Area, CA, the cops will pull you over for fun lol, so it will suck if he got caught...Or cant he just get an O/R H pipe for like $160, then add 2 cats for $100-200 and he'll have a MAC Catted H pipe for $350?? Im not sure if that will work, but if it will....

mid pipe has nothing to do with it, you put cut outs close enough to your engine so that it is just true duals. No mid pipe or anything, and it sounds like to 4 bangers fighting with eachother.
