How do you have a real GT with a 7.5 Rear end? is it a sixxer swap?

all 85+ V8s have 8.8s because they will shread the teeth on the 7.5 tloks

however, a 7.5 with a detroit true trac and TA rear girdle has been put through 600+ HP without problems

+1 how the heck do you have a 7.5" rear axle?? If you do, you have a real V6 with a V8 engine...

Maybe whoever told you that you have a 7.5 is wrong....stranger things have happened. Unless someone swapped in a cheap replacement before you owned it.

I would buy a Ford 8.8" and swap it out! You can get one with gears pre-installed from summit for $900 plus whatever shipping is. It's not a bad deal and atleast it has all new bearings! Heck you can even paint it any color you'd like since there won't be any grease or rust on it!

You dont have a 7.5in GT rear. But if for somereason someone swapped in a v6 rear, then yes, you need to swap it out asap and get 4.10's
