Well hell,
I hate to break it to ya, the center force don't come cheap. In my book they are worth their weight in gold!!! and i don't think anyone will recommend to buy a used one, that is just asking for trouble. Go to Centerforce.com............

You can look at RAM clutches or the King Cobra clutches........

haven't had a problem with my spec yet. a lot of the people in here say things based on what someone else who actually has it says without experience of their own. so take some (not all), but some of these responses with a grain of salt.

i DO hear good things about the centreforce though. also look into the spec + series.

I have a spec stage 1 in my car now. The throwout bearings shot on it and I am changine everything because of that. The clutch seems fine, but im planning on my power. But I have read on other forums that alot of people have had throwout bearing failure that came with there spec clutchs. But I bought a spec stage 2 clutch and aluminum flywheel and bought an OEM ford throwout bearing to be safe.

I put a Centerforce Dual friction clutch on my fox body. I did like it, but I feel that spec is a more quality product. Even though its hard to compair the dual friction vs the stage 1. When I get my stage 2 in those are more on par. But the centerforce deffinitly gripped hard, had a heavier than stock pedal. The spec stage 1 is a little heavier than stock but not much. My spec 1 slips a bit when I go to the drag strip when I powershift the first two gears. I do like the design with the weights on the pressure plate of the dual friction which put more pressure on the clutch as the rpms increase. I have no experience with the regular centerforce though. I would choose spec though. just my opinion.

ORIGINAL: code3GT

I just replaced my Spec Stage 1 after only 2K miles. Now granted, it had many 6K+ launches on it..but still should have lasted longer than 2K miles.
lol... man doesnt your car make close to 350rwhp NA and probably around that for torque? The spec stage 1 is rated for 420ftlbs. Im sure your real close to that mark at the crank. You shouldnt have skimped on the clutch when you have spent thousands everywhere else. Expecially 6000rpm launchs. thats some serious abuse, I bet your times will increase with a stranger clutch and pressure plate.

I've had CF DF clutches in other cars and they are absolutely fantastic. Pricey, but worth it.
