Yeah, it is standard after what, 2000 or so(?)

I don't see why the slot is covered...

Do you want mine? - j/k. Most people are in the opposite position (not wanting the trac control).

T/C is terrible anyway....Doesn't do a dam thing. Car is too light in the rear. Tell your buddy to sit in the trunk, that'd make for better traction control I was kidding

I think he ment his buddy doesn't have t/c. Well either way he should have it stock on a GT, I think it's only an option on V6?

Traction Control is NOT a standard feature. Example: My '04 GT is a fully loaded Premium with everything in the book save for Mach 1000 and Traction Control. IMO, T/C is lame and worthless. As long as your not gassing it around in conditions that you shouldn't be in anyway, you won't need it. I would say the only negative to not having T/C is that you also dont have ABS because of it. The T/C & ABS components are made into one system, so no T/C = No ABS.

whoa whoa this brings up a question for me. I assumed I had TC but the only way to turn it off was with a tuner because I've never seen a button for it. I have a 99 GT and no button or even a covered up space for TC as in the first picture in d3mon's signature. Is it found elsewhere in the 99 or what? How would Is there another way to find out if I have it?

99% sure you dont have it. Ways to check: Do you have a clutch? Fire up the car and drop the clutch to get the tires to spin. If the engine bogs out and cuts down the revs then you have T/C. Thats what T/C does. It senses wheel spin then cuts fuel+spark to the engine. Also, like I stated, T/C and ABS are combo options. If you've ever locked your brakes and slid instead of had the ABS vibrate the pedal and skid stop the tires then you don't have T/C
