Default burnout time?

well just bought the nitto 555R 305's so it should be a nice fat tire, and hopefully they will be here by next wednesday so i can hit the track with em , but ive heard a few times you need to burn em pretty good to get them to stick, but can anyone give me an estimate like 5 sec at 4k rpm's or maybe longer? i dont want to try and guess id like some peoples experience with drag radials to help me on my way.

So many people roast the living beans out of their tires and don't need to do it. All they do is make the damn tire greasy and totally defeat the purpose of heating up the tires.

Go around the water box, if you feel like you need it, go around it and back up into it. Spin the tires for a couple seconds, nothing outrageous.

Nitto's need a good burnout to stick, no matter what folks say I've got 100+ passes I know the tires. Nothing outrageous but you need to burnout for 1 - 2 seconds after you see some smoke. And don't do your burnout in the box, drive through it to get the tires wet and do the burnout just pass the box. Hold the burnout (not a rolling one) and once the tires are smokin for a second or two gradually let off the brakes and the gas and as soon as you feel the "jerk" letting you know the tires have gripped then let off the brake and gas completely and promptly drive to the staging beams and launch.

Also, do it in second gear to gain more tire speed.

don't you just gas it a lot by letting go of the clutch early without breaking and do the burnout with out breaking?
