Spray it with degreaser and hose it down. Then dry it all off and then spray it with CD-2 engine detailer. Make sure you cover up all the electrical **** before you apply water just to be safe.

Just to be safe, I disconnected the battery, covered the alternator and power dist box. After I was all done I used an adjustableair gun with low air pressure to blow everything off then towel dried the rest.
Also, when you use the CD-2, try not to get it on the belt (according to the directions)

What about spark plugs? Should I be careful around those?

AHemm.... Strart your car...... get out of Car, Pressure Wash the car while its Running. dont cover anything up, Just Dont go heavy duty on Electrical stuff. (dont wash with car off). Then when thats done, get ArmorALl Detailers Spray(3-4dollars Autozone) and Spray the WHOLE Engine Bay(go easy on the Connections again you can spray them just not Much) Let the ArmorAll sit for a couple mins, Wash off with a Hose then it will look BRAND NEW!!!!
